Dr. Susan Bartell, a licensed psychologist, maintains a private practice counseling children and parents in many areas such as parent-child relationships, stepfamily relationships, behavior management, learning disabilities and social development.

Dr Bartell is the author of Stepliving for Teens: getting along with stepparents, parents and siblings (Penguin, 2001) and Mommy or Daddy: Whose side am I on? (Adams Media, 2002).

In addition, she serves as an expert advisor for three national publications: Baby Years, Pregnancy and Women’s Health and Fitness magazines. She is also a child development consultant and writer for several large parenting websites including BonusFamilies.com, BabyUniversity.com and Focus Adolescent Services (focusas.com).

Dr. Bartell has appeared as an expert on the Today Show as well as nationally syndicated television shows The American Baby Show, Iyanla and The Ananda Lewis Show. She can be heard weekly as an expert on ParentTalk, a Florida based parenting radio show, and has also been a guest on several other parenting and talk radio shows.
